Tuberculosis Information

10 December 2008
The Women’s and Children’s Hospital has been contacting patients and staff who have been identified as having had possible contact with a medical officer, recently diagnosed with Tuberculosis (TB).

Advice from experts at the RAH Chest Clinic is that the risk of transmission of TB to staff and patients is extremely low. Despite the extremely low risk, precautionary action is being taken.
